LIGHTING & PROJECTION DESIGN

NEW DIORAMA THEATRE, JULY 2022

The Oxford School of Drama at New Diorama Theatre

Set at Comic-Con London 2022, five factions of fantasy fiction descend on their favourite annual event.

Whether it's in memory of a loved one, wanting to make the experience as perfect as possible or to meet the keynote speaker, Scarlett Johansson, they are all there for a different reason. But as the day goes on, the cracks in their masks start to form as their underlying human lives catch up with their superhero personas. Until eventually they fall victim to the day's darkest secrets as their lives unravel in comic-book chaos!

This one act play with songs pays homage to comic book pop culture and digs deep into the human condition by asking the question, why do we feel the need to wear a mask?
